I am willing to put alot of time and effort into making my dream come true, i play locally, willing to take harder and tougher challenges. can anyone help, direct and guide me to make my dream come true? THANK YOU!!

Well, just like you, I started off playing friends. It's really good practice. What you need to do is become a USTA member. That is the most impotant step. Then you start entering local tournaments, and if you perform well and win a few tournaments, you will then be invited to play in tournaments that are not local. Then you start playing challengers, get a personal coach, and enter tour events. Soon after you will get sponsers and be on your way to stardom.

Askyour tennis instructor or the pro at the country club for direction.  If you don't have an instructor/coach - get one.

Find tennis friends who gives you a good match.  Try to find one who has:

a. better consistency than you

b. more power than you

c. has better defense than you

d. has better offense than you

e. has better technique

and so on....

Practice with them and try to beat them AT THEIR OWN GAME (else it won't do you much good).  (the more you need help with one thing, the more you play with the person)
