  1. i don't really know the answer but i think it means "art is something like nature" sorry if its not what you wanted to find out

  2. there saying how real can art be and how beautiful it is by comparing it with nature itself.

  3. nature is the original beautiful creation. but it is not man made, it is natural. obviously.

art is trying to create a "fake" beauty. its only a man-made imitation of true beauty.

and that made more sense in my head...

  4. nature is beauty in it self and art is just capturing it but what is really beautiful is expirencing it for your self

  5. um showing nature is beautiful and saying art is beautiful, or all art is inspired by nature, hope it helps

  6. Well, there's human nature and regular nature.

People create works of art to imitate things, the mona lisa is an imitation of a woman (supposedly), monet's waterlilies are an imitation of waterlilies.  Each artist puts their own individual flair though (technique).

  7. You may be thinking of:

The concept derived from an Oscar Wilde aphorism, "Life imitates art far more than art imitates Life." Wilde follows Ovid who, in Book 3 of the Metamorphoses, depicts a scene where "Nature in her genius had imitated art."
