if a child is hard to control in school can the school bring the child home an tell the mother they can not control him a she needs to find another school for him to attend ? the school then decided to send a tutior to the house for 1 hour a day but sometimes doesn't even show up now the school sends someone to pick the child up after school hours from 4pm till 5pm a take him to teach him. but what can a child learn in a hour an if it takes 15 min to drive to where ever they take him then that leaves 45 min to teach him because they make sure that he is returned rite at 5pm. is this aloud to be down. an where can i find what they can an can not do. by the way the child is 8 yrs old an goes to school in silsbee,Tx. he doesnt do anything real magor in school he just doesnt listen an is very hard to keep seated or still he's a very stubbern child.

  1. Well does his school not use Learning support  or teaching assistants for 1-1 work, this will help to keep him focussed on his work or distracted from other things, ang as for the home tutoring What ever happened to children needing consistency, i have worked with some seriously challenging children, but i can honestly say none have ever been kicked out of school, this is the last resort.

If i was you i'd contact another school and speak to the education board about the issue.

  2. This depends on your country.

  3. Hi

there are schools that are special set up for children that are shall we say a little more out of control than other children just research schools to find out which ones are set up for children with behavior issues my son has some behavior issues and the program that he is in is wonderful

they are set up to handle it and do a great job my son is doing great and no I have never heard of a school bringing a child home I know that they are not supposed to transport children in there personal vehicles .

  4. okay.. since the no child left behind act took place.. they can not do that they have to accomadate your child.. if there is no other school in driving distance or bus pick up distance.. Have you had your child checked for a.d.d... talk to your doctor.. do all what you  can do on your end. good luck

  5. Thats not right they shouldnt do that!!!

  6. please explain properly

  7. yeah, that would not settle well with me... I am surprised that it is going this far with you.   I would be asking for consultation from a lawyer or something like that from the local authorities.

I do believe that a school can attempt to ban a child from attending, permitting only if there is another school within reasonable distance that can take him without any undue stress on resources.
