Question:

Can anyone help me find the origin of the surname "Clermy"- is it Belgium or Scotland?

I've tried Ancestry.com, but only came up with French and Beligum destinations... now I believe there is a town in Scotland by that name... any lead or help would be appreciated

  1. There is no place named Clermy in Scotland, or anywhere else in Britain. Clermy has a distinct "continental" look to it and it is a surname that does seem to have associations with Belgium and France.


  2. i have no clue, but it does sound either scottish or irish
