Can anyone help me get this Antivirus xp 2008 off my computer?

I have this stupid virus thing on my computer. Some of you say to go to start, run and type in msconfig, but I can not find the programs to uncheck. Is it possible that they can be some where else? I also see the program under Add or Remove programs but when I click remove it says we have encountered a problem and needs to close and please tell microsoft about the problem. Should I press debug, send error report, or don't send

all you need to do is to go to start and go to your connections and then hilight your connection problem and go look to the left of tour screen and find your firewall settings then click on it and disable it.

The advice you have been given is incorrect as this is a mailware virus that needs to be removed.  Download Malwarbytes

Run the update if you can then run a full system scan.  The program is free to use for scanning and removal.

well u can say debug , the program might have been partially removed witch means u have to re install it fully to un install it, before you try that tho restart your computer in safe mode (turn off computer and when u turn it on continuously tap the F8 key) then log on as an administrator and try to remove it.   you need an unlocker program. then if you can locate the folder it s in (usually program files) right click on it and choose send to unlocker. now you can flush it out of your system.
