Can anyone help me how to gather relevant data to be use in analyizing using multiple regression analysis?

what i mean is i need raw data for my statistics and i'm going to analyze that using multiple regression analysis. it's so hard to gather a gud raw data so if anyone knows where i can get the data please let me know. thanx

  1. Your question is too vauge for any specific response, but here's a few tips:

    1.  Brainstorm the variables you think may be influential on your result or response curve.  

    2.  Err on the side of including more variables then excluding variables unless there is a limiting factor on measurement ($$, lab time, etc.)

    3.  Make sure you have good, continuous data and can measure it as precisely and consistently as possible.  

    4.  Spend 4 times as much time on planning your measurement/data collection as you think you need.  You will prevent re-work and both Type I and Type II errors.

You start with the problem, and your hypothesis of what you will find.  Then you identify your dependent variable (the one that will move), and figure out 3-5 independent variables (the ones that will move the DV).  Each IV must be at least a bi-variate (have some variation, at least two data points).  Such as:  gender:  male or female, socio-economic status: low income, middle income, high income.
