Can anyone help me identify markings on jug?

on the bottom of jug there are the markings,

Goslar A/M

DR(inside of a scroll shape)

i cannot seem to find anything on the internet about any of these marks we think its german and is made from maybe pewter but not sure

Perhaps the Goslar refrs to a town in Gemany

It was certainly noted for its brewing and beer production.
