  1. I have a cat identical to that.  She was all white when she was a kitten and then the dark came in.  Anyway her mom was a Siamese and the father was a mix breed.

  2. he is a siamese cat he is not harry enough to be persian

  3. What a beautiful cat. I would say a mix between a short hair tabby and a Siamese.

  4. I agree about blue eyes meaning siamese, but it doesn't look like it has much siamese in it. You'd also be able to tell from the face shape. It looks like it has some tabby patterns and maybe ragdoll or snowshoe, from its feet and body shape. It's a beautiful kitty with a varied background!

  5. I had a cat that sort of looked like that- she was a snowshoe siamese mix. Yours looks like a snowshoe mix too, I wish I could give you more help but that's all I've got. Sorry!

  6. Any adult cat with blue eyes has some Siamese lurking in its background.

  7. Wow, I looked at your picture and I thought it was my mom's cat! They look exactly the same except my mom's has green eyes. Sorry I can't help you though.

  8. i'd say it's a grey/white mackerel tabby Domestic Short Hair, regardless of eye color. it has no real defining characteristics of any one breed that jumps out and says "this is what it is!" and it doesn't sound like you got him at a breeder. so basically he's a moggie cat, made up of many different types... which is nice, because it means he has the best of all sorts of breeds mixed up in one furry body. if i had to pinpoint any one particular breed, i'd suspect your kitty has a bit of something like an american or possibly british shorthair in him (these are different than domestic shorthairs) - his face & body type look a bit like their round/cobby type rather than sleek and triangular like an oriental breed, they come in all sorts of colors, and blue eyes can be common in some of their multi-colored coat patterns.

    an american shorthair:

while blue eyes are not the normal color in the average cat, they are by no means an indicator of it being siamese, like others have suggested. it is quite common to find blue eyes in bi-colored cats in general, not just cats with points. and for example, you cannot possibly say this cat has any siamese in it...it is an ojos azules, a breed which has absolutely no siamese in its background.

eye color is determined by how much melanin collects in the eyes, with blue being the default color when little collects there. (the more melanin that collects, the darker the eyes turn, until they can appear almost black.) how much collects can be passed down genetically, like in certain breeds like siamese...british shorthairs regularly have blue eyes, as do any number of other breeds out there who have no heritage in oriental breeds. but it can also happen as a genetic mutation, when none of the ancestors had blue eyes. i'd suspect this is what happened with your boy. no matter what he is, he's very handsome, and the look on his face shows that he knows it! :-)

  9. thanks for all your answers. we just adopted him. he's very affectionate and loud.

he also only eats one type of food and one flavor.  Is that normal?  when we adopted him we were told he was fixed, but he has a very visible set of balls.  is that normal too?

thanks for all your help =]

  10. It's a Siamese mix...or Oriental Shorthair mix, which is actually Siamese crossbread anyway.

  11. My money is on singapura this is a site that has kitties that look like yours.

Also he is too cute pet him for me :)

  12. this cat looks like a snowshoe breed

  13. He's a domestic shorthair.  May have some siamese in his background, but they are not the only breed that have blue eyes as adults.
