Can anyone help me in Lan connection?

I have two computers and have broadband connection. Now i want both the computer to be connected through LAN. But i cant do.

You need to buy a hub, router or switch (actually a switch is better) and link both computers in a LAN.

Then, the easy way is to connect the data modem or codec to the switch. That's when you connect a DSL o Cable Modem device to the Switch.

Or, you could buy a Wireless DSL Modem or Cable Modem, one that include the wireless switch and and wireless card to both computers

2 quick options.

1. a router for easy networking - but you'll have to go through the manual to work out how to configure it

2. a crossover cable (from your local pc store) and ICS (Internet Connection Sharing)

Option 1 is usually cheap and relatively easy, with little burden.

Option 2 is cheaper, maybe a little more confusing, and the PC connected to the internet must be on if the other PC is going to make a connection.

buy a router (wired routers start at around 30 bucks, wireless about 70, but stick with either netgear or lynksys) connect your internet modem to the router, than connect each computer to the router
