I am a school student doing a project and I have to learn rocket science out of a book but I don't know who to talk to if I don't understand something. Like what are fluid dynamics? Where can I get simple info that i can understand?

  1. You should be able to find books at various levels.  You might start with history by looking at the research of Robert Goddard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_H._G...

You might start with that link or Rocket in wikipedia and follow the links and sources at the bottom of each of the pages.

You will have a distance to go before you have to deal seriously with fluid dynamics in the functioning of a rocket because most of what you can safely build and launch are simply built symetrically and don't get involved seriously in fluid dynamics because the don't go fast enough.

You can get more history information by eSearching 'American Rocket Society'

and you can get access to basic rocket stuff at http://www.nar.org/
