Can anyone help me on information on a house in Gowran, Kilkenny, Ireland??

If going in the directionof waterford through Gowran, on entering the town there is a large mansion house behind a wall on your left. It also has a gatehouse, I think both are not lived on. If someone could help with some info on the house? What is it called? etc?

  1. Excuse me, we'll have you know that's OUR house and it IS being lived in.


  2. I think it's Gowran Castle isn't it? I'm not sure if it is the same castle now but there was originally a castle built by one of the Earls of Ormonde in Gowran.
