Can anyone help me start a career in acting???

does anyone know how i would be able to become an actor by living in kilkenny ireland!! i am still young and have not finished school yet!! i am in a stage school that mainly focuses on singing which isnt my fave!! we do mainly musicals! i am mainly looking for tv bu any hints or tips?maybe how to get involved with rte? or tg4(i am fluent in the irish language!!) i am only 15! what are college facilitys that i should look for or any open auditions soon?

I think your best bet is to start with some local community theater to pad up your resume. Scrape up some money to take some acting classes. A lot of acting classes are taught by would be directors and writers. If they like you, it's possible for them to offer you something bigger. You've got years to go and a lot of things you could do. You could also take voice acting lessons and look for work on the radio. When you get old enough you can try to take on London or New York! And you'll have a good resume in the process!

Do you do Drama in school? Are there any Drama clubs at school or in your area you can join?

Look in newspapers who want to hire extras - I know an extra isn't a big part, but it's the experience that counts.

That's the best way to start - it may be small, or seem a bit mundane but they're good roots for an acting career. Getting a career in acting is VERY hard - it's not just about saying a few lines with good acting skills.

i wanna do acting career too, but you have to go to a decent acting school i think the best one is in london but i forgot what it was called, loads of peeps went there like people off of eastenders,the bill, and things like that.
