Can anyone help me trouble shoot this DVD recorder??

i bought a ILO DVD recorder from a friend it work great for awhile..now its doing weird things..it take DVD plus blanks to record.. this player is only recognizing 2 blanks.. and i bought 30of them..then i manged to record a movie and the DVD player will not let me finallize it.. it says its a invalid disk.. can anyone help i dont have the owners manual..

  1. Hi stevil342001,

    My personal guess is the laser lens needs to be cleaned. If you are able to see into the unit and see it you can clean it with a cotton swab and alcohol.

    If you can't get to the lens get a cleaning DVD at WalMart.

    It is worth a shot.
