Ive just finished the front left front and the back and armpit. the pattern now says:

Shape back neck

next row- 1 dc in each of next 11 dc and turn, leaving rem sts un worked.

dec 1 st at neck edge of next row. 11 sts.

Shape shoulder

Fasten off.

The bit i dont get is to where exactly im sopose to do the 11dc sts.

After all that it says return to last complete row worked before shaping back neck 22dc, rejoin yarn to next dc and cont as follows.

I dont know where im sopose to rejoin yarn, where is the last completed row worked.

please help

thank you

  1. this is where a pic is worth a thousand words!  Do you have the cardigan pattern #

  2. What you'll do is crochet the first 11 sts on the row, then turn and make your decrease at what will be the neck edge.  You'll continue this way as long as you need to shape the shoulder.

When you rejoin the yarn, you'll start on the row where you began your neck shaping.  Just make sure you are heading the same direction as the row from the first side of the neck.

It helps if you can picture in your head how it should look.

The shaping should look like any other sweater, with the armholes and neck shaping.  Usually there is some sort of diagram with these patterns showing how the shaping should look.

    Good luck!
