  1. One of the google personalizations is a slang of the day dongle that has lots of British slang.  (Google has several, IDK which it is exactly)

  2. call them smeg heads.  they'll laugh

  3. say you facking imperialist b*****d !! they think ur hilarious

  4. Check out this website. I always refer to it when I watch BBC America.

    http://www.peevish.co.uk/slang/

I know "snogging" is making out and "shagging" is having s*x

  5. Just be yourself, that is the honest way to be "cool".

  6. Try this page out:

    http://www.effingpot.com/slang.shtml

It has a lot of examples.  You could also try watching some old British comedies (Like "Monty Python's Flying Circus", "Black Adder", and "The Young Ones") for a fun way to pick up slang fast.  Those are likely available on Youtube.

Remember that a "rubber" is probably an eraser.  :)  Hope this helps!

  7. Erm... Mate means friend.  :-)

    a hoover is a vacuum...

uhh.. I've been over to visit my aunt there a couple times, but can't remember any of the slang! Sorry!

    Good luck,

    ~A

  8. Offer to trade your slang words for theirs.  That will be cool.

They know their slang is impenetrable.  They're proud of it.

  9. Gods, there is tons of it, which varies depending usually which county you hail from.

As for London, there is a partially separate Cockney rhyming slang.

Some non-offensive examples you may wish to use >

    Apples & Pairs = stairs

    Boat race = face

    2 & 8 = a state

    Trouble & strife = wife

Barnet = hair (from Barnet fair)

    Eddies = cash (readys)

Those are a bit old-fashioned, but are coming back.

Most "cool" words come from the USA.

How dare you corrupt our language ! (he he)
