Can anyone help me with info on Argentina?

I'm goin to Argentina for a couple of months from the US, do i need any shots? How cold are the winters in Buenos Aires? What is there to do in Buenos Aires?

Hi

You only need a yellow fever shot if you are going to visit Iguazu Falls. It is not mandatory but it is recommended. For the rest of Argentina, you don't need any shots.

Winter in Buenos Aires (June-September) is cold but mild, there can be some colder days, especially in the morning and at night, but never below 0 C (32 F). There can be some warm days with average temperatures of 15 C.

There are so many things to do in Buenos Aires that it is hard to mention just a few. As you will be here for two months you will have time to explore all the major sites. There are great museums, large parks, cultural events, concerts. You have to visit all the different neighborhoods and their main sites: Recoleta with its museums, cemetery and craft fair; San Telmo with its antiques shops, art galleries, and the fair on Sundays; Palermo, with its beautiful parks, and the trendy area of Palermo Viejo with lots of bars, restaurants, design shops, etc.

You'll have a great time in Buenos Aires and Argentina.

I actually had to get a lot of shots: yellow fever, typhoid, tdap, hep a but that might be because I'm traveling with an institution that is providing me with insurance. But I also think that they rely on the Centers for Disease Control website to figure out recommended and required vaccinations for each country.

The center for control and diseses is gonna tell you about the shots( realy I don't think that you need it, but well).

Weather in Buenos Aires is like Georgia, but w/o snow .

Buenos Aires is a very beatiful city, great night life and entretainment, Bars , Dancing clubs, Soccer games, theaters, opera house, museums, shopping centers, malls, antiques, european style and arquitectural .

you dont need any special shots

in winter temperatures can go from 1ºC to 12 ºC average. they are not as cold as in europe or some states in the US or canada... etc etc.

to do in buenos aires? you can do the same that you would do in any city around the world.

most tourist find nightlife in buenos aires amazing, because our parties begin late, around 2 am and end up around 6 or 7am and there are countless options of bars and discos (we call them boliches).

tasting argentine meat is also a big attraction. you should eat asado in any parrilla... youll love it, theres no comparision to the meat you guys have in the us.
