okay so i want to change the size of everything that shows up on my screen and I have no idea how to do this. I've seen other computers do this. An example is that I went on myspace on my boyfriends computer and it shows the background of the special layout on my homepage. I've also seen this happen with other computers but I cannot figure out how to do it with mine. It seems that everything that shows up on my screen is like super sized or something...so if anyone would have any idea about how to help me well let me know. If your just going to be stupid and say something that isn't usefull....well don't.

I have an older Dell laptop if that helps any.

  1. Right click a blank space on your desktop, select properties. Click the settings tab. At the bottom right, there is a slider for screen resolution. Try changing it to a larger number. Click apply, ok. A reboot may be required for the change to take effect.

  2. Right click on the background anywhere on your desktop.  Select Properties.  Next select Settings.  There should be a 'Screen Resolution' slider in the window.  It will show the setting for your current resolution. If you move it toward 'More' it will make the desktop appear smaller.  Move it toward 'Less' and it will make the desktop appear larger.

Select the resolution you wish to reset to and click 'apply'.  Don't panic if your screen temporarily goes blank.  It will reappear.

  3. well everything depends on the capacity of your LAPTOP(especifically your VIDEO controller). If your laptop can accomodate big screen size(which makes all your icons small), then its possible.

you can goto CONTROL PANEL, then select DISPLAY, then selects SETTINGS tab and on the lower-left theres a box "SCREEN RESOLUTION", you can choose "1024 x 768" screen size if your laptop can. THEN CLICK THE APPLY BUTTON.

    hope this helps.

  4. right click on the desktop background and click properties. you should be able to change it in there.
