Can anyone help me with screaming spiders?

Question

My mum found a spider burrow this morning, and decided to plug it up. She told me that when she did this, she heard the most god-awful scream come from the burrow. We've been plugging a few of them up in the last 6 weeks we've been at this house.

I'd like to know if anyone can help me identify this spider.

We have dozens of occupied and abandoned funnel web burrows in our yard. We're semi-rural east Victoria, lots of bushland and dry. I've been researching the victorian funnel web, trapdoor spiders, mouse spider etcetc, and so far they only describe a hissing sound produced by the rubbing of their fangs.

I've never in my life heard this, can someone elaborate?

don't know but careful of them , don't get sting by them. ..keep on searching what species and how danger  that creature

I googled 'screaming spiders' and, ended up watching some videos in Youtube. Almost forgot what I went there for.

I can't find anything on screaming spiders. Very interesting though.

Try calling your local museum and ask to speak to someone that could help you distinguish this spider. They may want to come to your place to inspect.

why did she just "decide" to kill off a colony of life?

the screams should make this obvious, i dont know what kind of spider it is, but are you sure its even a spider?

its obvious you shouldnt be doing this, you are foolish for watching this horrible torture.

imagine being sealed in your own home?

except it isnt full of tv sets, food and other things.

i hate hearing this
