  1. kay its asking you to find 2 numbers that equal 16 by multiplication for A.

which can be 4x4, 8x2, 6x3, (i dont know what it means by least. but yeah.)

for B) its asking you to find numbers that are a minimum and have a square of a minimum.

  2. i think a

  3. The a) and b) parameters make NO sense at all. But your only options are:

    2 and 8

    4 and 4

    1 and 16

as they are the only factors of 16. Unless you can use numbers with decimals.

  4. im in algebra 1 and i dont get it

  5. X * Y = 16

    Possible numbers:

    1 * 16

    2 * 8

    4 * 4

But only when X=4 and Y=4 has X+Y the smallest. The others 1+16=17 and 2+8=10.

    ANSWER a. X=4 and Y=4

    X + SQUARE(Y)

    16 + SQUARE(1) = 17

    8 + SQUARE(2) = 12

    4 + SQUARE(4) = 20

    ANSWER b. X=8 and Y=2

  6. i thought that it wuz 4 when i read the 1st sentence: the product of 2 positive number is 16 but thats not the answer at least i helped wiht the 1st part  =)))

  7. um i think 4 and 4 but i don't know

  8. a.
