  1. Answer:

1- as a result of  long lines.

    2- Using WHO or WHOM:

        -   WHO is the SUBJECT FROM:

             Example: Who ate the cake?

        -  WHOM is the OBJECT FROM:

To WHOM should I give the cake?

  2. 1.  I believe the correct answer is "as a result of".  If you said "due to long lines" it would not be correct.

Due to is an adjective phrase and should not be used as a preposition meaning "because of".

    2.  Who is used for subjects and subject complements.  Whom is used for objects.

  3. Either is correct in 1

Who is coming to dinner?    'Who' is used as the subject of a sentence.

Whom have you invited to dinner?

Here, 'you' is the subject, and 'whom' is the object.. You could put it like this.

You have invited whom to dinner?

It takes so long to master this, that it is one of the most common grammatical errors in English. So common, indeed, that it is colloqually acceptable.
