I'm getting married in November..I am having a trouble figuring out what to get for my parents, my fiances parents, the guys, and the flowergirl and ringbearer..any ideas? I don't necessarily want to do traditional stuff but if I can't come up with any ideas then I might just do the traditional beer mugs or something..

  1. What we're doing:

For both sets of parents: Gift cards to a 5 star restaurant + picture frames for a family photo to go in.

My brother and sister in law- gift cards to a restaurant.

My brother- sega gensis + 2 of his favorite games

      My sister: Vintage Jewelery.

I don't think beer mugs are a good gift... I mean will the guys really want something like that in a month?  Probably not.  I would go the gift card route.  Get them gift cards for places they like...  really show your appreciation.

  2. Personally, I See No Problem With Beer Mugs.

For Her Wedding, My Sister Was Going To Get Beer Mugs For The Guys & Cocktail Glasses For The Girls & Have Their Names Put On Them & Have Them Sitting At Their Table So They Could Use Them On The Day.. But She Didn't Think Of It Until It Was Too Late To Do It.

  3. No beer mugs.

How about cuff links or tie tack for gents - something interesting or tasteful, and a nice simple and elegant necklace of special gem stones or something heart shaped possibly with an engraving.

For girls, charm bracelet with one heart-shaped charm.

  4. Hey Lisa!

I'll share what I did... it's a hard call... you want everyone to feel appreciated, without breaking the bank...

    -parents- digital picture frame

    -guys- pocket watches

-girls- pearl necklace, pearl bracelet and spa pedicure/manicure

-flower girl- bracelet with her name on it

-ring bearer- poster made on Snapfish.com (pictures of a recently attended baseball game that he loved)

    Hope this helps!

  5. why not get them something they use again like ear rings, the children would love fun activities set to do during the meal while the adults are still eating. I'm going to give things they use its a waste of cash to buy things they wont use so ask what they would like gift cards are a good idea to. some of the web sites have fab ideas so visit some of them

  6. I think we're going to get inexpensive pool cues from a sporting goods store and have them engraved for the groomsmen. For our parents we'll have photo albums made. We don't have a ring bearer or flower girl, but a bride doll is cute for the flower girl (make sure it's a toy she can play with!), and maybe an inexpensive silver locket as a keepsake. For the ring bearer, maybe a toy truck or airplane, and a pocket watch as a keepsake. I think the little ones should get gifts they can actually enjoy right now. It's a little cruel to get a 5 year old a gift they aren;t allowed to touch! lol

  7. I have the perfect online store that you can find gifts for anyone on your list. memorablegifts.com
