Question:

Can anyone help me work out what booster seat will keep my tall and heavy 4 and a half yr old safe in the car!

He is nearly 117 cms tall and wieghs 25 kilos, which seemes to rule him out of all the booster seats I can find (even though the guidelines say to stay in a booster till approx 8-10 yrs of age (I know he is very tall but he is not the size of an 8-10 yr old!) His eyes are just above the seat in both the seats I currently own. I was advised by a woman at Britex customer service that he would probably be better off with no seat but using an H harness and while this would be easy for me I worry about him having no side protection and the H harness does not quite sit under his stomach like it is meant to. I would really appreciate some advice as I am totally confused!

  1. in the states you can go to any fire dept and they will install a seat for you...you can go to the fire dept or health dept and they will be able to advise you which seat is best...at some point kids out grow the seats and sometimes its before the age requirement..good luck

  2. Contact your local police department. They know the local regs, and yours wont be the first question like this that they hear.

Better to hear from them, than a handful of people across the planet that might not know your areas seatbelt law.

  3. Try this site and it will help you.
