Can anyone help me write a one Minute speech based on the Bejing Olympics or anything related to it??asap?

I need help on writing or memerizing a one minute speech on anything that has to do with the bejing olympics for my english class tomorow and im stuck. it has to be memerized and so far i cant find how to start it without sounding silly, anything simple is fine no big words or anything. please helpme thanks in the future

when the olympics first started in Greece, the goal was to bring the waring cities to peace by showcasing their best athletes.  its original purpose was to bring these waring states together for the greater good.  over the years, these trials have become a microcausm for the current state of the world at large.  This year for example olympians arrived wearing black face masks to provide protection from the highly potent smog which hanging in the air in Beijing China- another Olympian was pressured to leave the games when his visa was revoked by China because he was an advocate against the genocide taking place in Darfur simply because China has "connections" in the Sudan.  And now China is being accused of cheating by entering underage athletes in the olympic trials.  The Olympics once revered by the Greeks no longer hold the same hopes and dreams they once did for the countries represented by the competing athletes.  It has become instead, a soapbox and chopping block for the world's superpowers.  perphaps some day the athletes will be celebrated simply for their talents and not condemed for their beliefs.

For years the Chinese have been manufacturing products that we as Americans take for granted.  We buy these items for next to nothing and think little of it.  Rarely do we stop and think about how our purchases are effecting the world.  While the Chinese have been leading the world with this manufacturing, they've also been leading the world in their polluting.  Their cities, Beijing in particular is horribly polluted and unhealthy to live in.  This issue was brought up with the IOC prior to agreeing to hold the Olympics in China and they agreed that they would do a better job...have they?  Not really!  Yes they've cleaned up the air by restricting car usage, but they're still destroying our Earth faster than any other nations.  If the Olympics is supposed to be about world unity and peace, why are we honoring the Chinese by holding the Olympics in Beijing, when their country is killing our planet.
