I have had a PayPal account for years. Recently, when I tried to log in, my account got chosen for a random security verification. I was taken to a screen where I had to enter my whole credit card number, which was supposedly the first of many screens.
When I entered the information, I got a "page not found" error and was taken to a mostly blank PayPal page with the option to retry or go to the PayPal homepage. All of these pages were genuine, secure PayPal pages--not phishing scams.
I e-mailed PayPal's tech support about the problem, twice. First they said they'd "look into it," then the second response said the problem had been fixed. When I try to log in, I get the exact same BS...only now, when I try to go to the support pages, they want me to log in as well, and take me to the same broken security page!
Does anyone know a way around this error, or if not, can someone give me an external e-mail address for PayPal and their customer service 1-800 number?
