Can anyone help with a query on BT Total Broadband?

I have had the BT Total Broadband with the Hub installed. I originally had BT broadband but you had to dial up to connect it so on the desk I have a BT Voyager 100 USB ADSL Modem, which I still have connected as well, do I still need that connection as I have the hub. I wouldn't think you did, but don't want to dis-connect it and then have a load of problems, it took long enough and an hour on BT helpline to set it up in the first place!!! Not too technical answers please, as you can see I am a beginner at all this!!

  1. Hiya Did you not get a BT Broadband Desktop Help, ( icon) its almost the same as BT Broadband ? This lets you chat free to someone via pc & they will try & help you that way.

  2. You can disconnect the Voyager from your computer, the power supply and more important from any telephone socket.

    The hub makes it redundant.

If in the future you wish to re-use it just plug it back in, nothing will have changed.

  3. you can leave it in as a backup but you dont need it

  4. You don't need the Voyager modem connected just the hub

Go to control panel then add and remove and uninstall it

then still the control panel in internet options click on the connections tab and select never dial a connection then click ok

If you are still not sure email me and we can sort it out by msn

  5. Well done BEX
