I have a 1994 model toyota camry LE,I have replaced the brake calipers and have bled the air out of the lines after cleaning the lines and both crossovers where all the brake lines go in together at and on the passenger side on the front it will not bleed out;you cannot pump it up and loosen the bleeder valve because nothing happens it don't have any pressure to come out but it is only on that side, the drivers side;and once again more than one new caliper has been put on and everyone is telling me it is not the booster or master cylinder but I think it has to be one of them can anyone help with this problem?Thank you even if you can't.

  1. You need to back track this one a fitting at a time. You have a blockage somewhere. O'Reillys Auto Parts has a vacuum bleeder system for around $20 that works real well as you don't have to have two people. Just pop it on the fitting, pump it to obtain about 20 to 25 inches of vacuum and crack the bleeder so fluid runs into the bleeders reservoir. Close the bleeder before the vacuum completely bleeds off. This can also be used to trouble shoot by going back from the caliper one fitting at a time until you find where you start to get fluid. Of course you can also do one fitting at a time with the pump the pedal method but you'll need an assistant. When you start getting fluid then you'll need to replace the line that is not passing fluid or find a way to clear it. Also IF that car has ABS the ABS unit may be your problem. Most ABS units need a special rig to bleed them.

  2. Oh K, Your having problems bleeding one side on the front axle. You've been able to pump the brakes on the right and get air out. You can not repeat the same function on the right side? Are you getting any fluid at all on the left side? What prompted you to change the calipers? Need a little more info. You have to have a problem going to the left side. I can rule out the booster. The master cylinder probelly isnt it either. Did you have a failure of the pads and rotor on the left side? If so you might have a preoblem with the brake line hose. I dont see why your having a problem with  the left side only.

  3. I agree that there must be some kind of clog in the system and you need to back track the system piece by piece to find out what is clogged but for sure keep in mind that if the system is clogged then you really should fully flush the whole brake system too.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way a kink in the brake hose or a brake line not lined up or mounted properly can cause this problem, plus keep in mind that even when I only work on front brake part replacements I always fully bleed the whole vehicles braking system and suggest that you do this as well.

  4. Ok this one is not that hard is the bleader s***w on the top of the caliper or the bottom? If it is on the bottom you have the wrong caliper  this is very common on brake calipers on toyota. Check that first. if that is right take line off caliper. Replace right side brake hose it is colapsing internaly. I am sure you will find one of the two things i suggest will correct your situation.
