  1. Depends on how your state, city, county handles it.  But you can always ask to be relieved of Jury duty due to "hardship."  Doctors, people who care for elderly, caring for a child etc. all are reasonable reasons to be excused

There should be a "request to be excused form"  as part of the summons or a number to call to request to be excused.

Can't be specific because each state is different. But since you take care of your daughter and go to school that would be enough in Arizona.  The Courts here almost always comply.   But do call and get this straightened out.

  2. you can call the number on the paper and reschedule it

  3. There's a phone # or website on the summons. Call and explain your circumstances. It's only gonna get worse if you don't handle it.

  4. If you filled out the papers to get out of jury duty with a legitimate reason and it was approved, you are ok. If you got 4 summons and just didn't show up for any of them, there might be a warrant out for your arrest.

Call the courthouse and explain your reason for not being there. They will tell you what you need to do.
