  1. Based on the answers to similar questions asked today:

    "Local weather doesn't count..."

"Global Warming is now Climate Change....any variation from average is proof of Global Warming"

    "People with PhDs are infallible"

"It's winter...just wait until the next record high"

"You're just wrong, because AGW is an absolute fact"

...pretty sad how blind religious zealots can be...

  2. U R question is the answer that is the extreme temperature is the answer the extreme temperature is due to global warming.

  3. Anyone that attempts to blame the severe winter in China, and the Middle East on humanity is not up on current events. The Earth has cooled dramatically over the last several months because of the La-Nina phenomena in the Pacific Ocean. This could however be the start of the Pacific Decadal Oscillation's cool phase. Which will see more frequent La Nina's and a continuation of severe winter weather throughout the globe.

  4. the treehuggers can spin anything.

but add up colder then normal in the US plus snow in middle-east

it would have to snow in the southern hemisphere during there summer before the tree huggers might say something.

  5. It is called Global warming and not China warming for a reason. It is warmer than average here in Texas right now for example. So you need temperatures from all over the world and then you need to average them and then even if it is cooler now you need to check the 5 year running average and the least squares fit for the data for the last 100 years and basically do statistics. Global warming is not some obvious problem that you can just see on your own. It takes lots of people gathering lots of data and doing lots of statistics. Kind of like cancer. Smoking causes cancer but lots of smokers never get cancer. One smoker living to be 105 and then dying in a car accident does not disprove that smoking causes cancer. You need statistics that show more smokers get cancer than non smokers.

  6. I have gotten over trying to explain rationally to Global Warming religious zealots that I don't think 10 years of colder temperatures will convince them.

  7. http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/2007/

why is the trend going up then?

  8. Why do you keep posting questions which you have already had answered. You know the answer. Why do you feign ignorance?

  9. Why bother?  It's weather, not climate.  Do you know the difference?

  10. Yes. Yes, actually, we can.

I cannot believe that when you posted this Yahoo did not bring up the 7 or so posts immediately before yours, asking the same question and receiving many replies.

Anyway, you have just proved that the Earth is going through an ice age, and we will all die. Bummer.

Poor John, so desperate to ignore global warming that he has condemned us all.

But wait! Perhaps an overly sarcastic reply could yet save us!

Maybe extreme weather patterns are the result of extreme climatic conditions!

Maybe the warming of air is increasing its flow, and air from the poles (traditionally, extremely cold air) might be flowing with unusual speed to other parts of the world!

Maybe, this climatic upheaval, resulting in unusually cold winters in isolated parts of China, is actually part of a larger picture!

Maybe the ice sheets melting are a clue...

Maybe the immense carbon spike has something to do with it.

Maybe, just maybe, we've been over this ground before.

    Over and over and over.

Next time, research first, then conclusion. If you research very well, maybe you wont have to come to us for your opinions.

You'll get less sarcasm that way.
