Can anyone identify these birds?!?

Does anyone know what kind of birds these are? They come to visit us everyday and we don't know what they are called.

  5. they look like herons not sure if there is more then one type but that is what they look like to me.

    Blue herons do not have red on their heads! They have black stripes down the sides of their heads.

    Those are sand hill cranes. They are really commen in the northern USA, but can be found all across the country. I use to see them a lot when I went camping in Michigan with my aunt. Notice the red on the heads? And the tanner bodies?
