Can anyone identify this Spider??? ?

Question

Location: Geneseo, NY (S.U.N.Y Geneseo College)

Size: Between 1 and 2 inches

Detail, I found this running around my college drom building, It was between 2 glass panes and there are several others that I have seen in various locations. The do have orb shaped webs. The other locations include corners of walls, sides of walls, and Especially around window edges. Please help me identify this so i can notify someone if they need to be removed. If more pictures are required I can take them so just ask!!!

Harmless orb weaver spider   :3

Here's a picture I found on Google of an orb weaver that looks similar to the spider in your picture:

They're pretty much harmless unless you disturb it (but even then it's most likely going to retreat).

Another harmless orb weaver.  Leave it alone or relocate it if you do not like where it has set up housekeeping.
