The lady who has it says it is star of bethlehem, but it doesnt look anything like the ones listed in catalogs. it is blooming now, end of July. It is about 4 feet tall and has a white flower that looks almost like an allium. The leaves are strap like and very dark green. She digs it up every year, we live in zone 4, and she says it multiplies very easily. the bulbs are about the size of a good size daffodil.

  1. Sramm it could be one of several from Lily family.  I would guess she has miniature Dahlia.

  2. A pic.would have helped,it would be difficult to say for sure, without one! Sorry!

  3. Allium neapolitanum, This is a Mediterranean plant, first introduced for the cut-flower trade, but now naturalised island-wide. We call it “Guernsey” Star-of-Bethlehem to distinguish it from Ornithogalum angustifolium, which also occurs in Guernsey, but is much rarer, and a shorter, stockier plant.
