  1. its every 90 days give or take oh and animals always do best giving birth in the spring thats when the most food is available and the wather is warm

  2. i once had a outdoor rabbit that had bunnies outside in the winter and i had to take them in but wwhen i touched the rabbits babies it wouldnt feed them and sadley they all died so yeah if there indoor rabbits it really wouldnt matter but if their out door it would be best to have them have babys in the spring or summer

  3. easy in 3 months tops

  4. a rabbit is ready to give birth when it pulls out her fur from her chest to make a nest about 2-3days before weaning.

    hope this helped:)

  5. That depends on when the rabbit is born and how long it has been since it had it's last litter.

A rabbit's can be bred as early as when it is 6 months old.  Although I tend to prefer to breed them the first time when they are 8-10 months old.  Smaller breeds can be bred at 6 months more easily than larger breeds while not affecting their size.  It's not a good idea to let a rabbit get much more than 10 months old before breeding it the first time or the person will likely have trouble getting it bred or getting it to have a normal litter.  Twelve months is the most I'd wait.

After the rabbit has their first litter, I would wait no longer than about 2-3 months before breeding her again.  Rabbit's develop fat around their ovaries if fed too much or if they wait too long before being bred again.  That can prevent them from getting pregnant later or cause complications.

So the main factor is primarily their age and not the time of year.  The only time of year I would avoid to having a litter would be the middle of summer.  That places a lot of stress on the doe and she can easily become overheated if not careful.

Late spring would be the best time if age weren't a factor.  Rabbits tend to breed more easily then with the coming of warmer weather and it is still cool enough for the rabbit to have babies ok.  The amount of light the rabbit gets plays a factor too.  Female rabbits tend not to want to breed if they don't get enough light.  In the summer, old bucks can become sterile causing it to be hard to get the doe bred.

  6. Typically when our rabbits were ready to give birth they began to hide in their "cave-like" area and really began to build it up like a nest.  They pulled out their fur and made it a comfy area to have the babies.  Not sure what is the best month...but as vjmiller said you definitely do not want to touch the babies.  They will either leave them to die or even possibly eat them.  Wait a few weeks and then you can begin to pet them.
