Well i had an idea of being Steve Urkel from Family Matters so if anyone has any suggestions of where i can find clothes like his that would be great. http://media.photobucket.com/image/steve%20urkel/dh_thomas1/steve-urkel-1.jpg?o=5 Here is a picture of what i wanted to look like.

Other than that i was wondering if someone had some cool ideas. I have a few guidelines.

(1) I'm ok with going out and buying my own clothes and accessories to make it.

(2) I am not cool with spending a load of money on ONE single dress and be left with having to find shoes and such (for example a french maid costume....wow a single dress....)

(3) I want something original. Everyone will be a fairy or a witch, but i wanna be something random or cool, or even a well-known person like steve urkel or david bowie or something.

By the way i'm a girl hahaha but for some reason the guys are always the coolest to portray.

Please if you have any ideas thank you!!!

  1. That should be easy to do.  You can go to any store, even Macy's or Goodwill and get a Polo shirt, make sure it's a tighfight and find jeans as well that fit up to your chest.

For the suspenders, you can get them in the boy's department at the store, or the men's department.  Like you said, you don't want to spend a lot, so go to a thrift store and if you don't find anything there, then go to the mall and look around.  Macy's should have what you're looking for.  The older men's section WILL have the suspenders, but usually you can find them in thrift stores.

For the glasses, go to the dollar store.  You can find big glasses there and then paint them with regular craft paint.  You can even go to stores like Spencer's gifts, etc, and if there's any stores in your area that open up during Halloween time that you can get some.  You should be able to get big glasses anywhere.  You may have to switch out the lenses though, they usually sell big glasses like that in sunglasses, but again, check thrift stores.

You can also check orientaltrading.com they have a halloween section and you may find what you need there.  If you've never heard of them, their prices are MUCH better than dollar stores and they offer a LOT of things and some in bulk.  This site has a lot to offer, not just for costumes, but everything, it's definitely worth checking out!

I hope this helps!  I hope you have a fun, safe, and Happy Halloween!
