Any book or interenet resources regarding laws (both national and local) that soemone new to the country would need to know, customs, permits/visas/licenses needed or reccomended, good areas (either in or around London or anywhere in England really) to move into, etc. would be VERY much appreciated. Thank you!

  1. Good luck moving to England...they don't make it easy, thats for sure.   Your best bet would be a work permit, but you better have a pretty esoteric skill set or you're pretty much out of luck.  But theres lots of info here for you anyway:  http://www.skillclear.co.uk/index2.asp

  2. All the information you need about the legal side of moving here e.g. visas can be found at http://ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/ which is an official government website.

  3. First, you should spell the name right.

  4. I would recommend Bristol, I am moving there in 7 days.

Plus you'll need either a student or a work visa to live there.

Make sure you have sufficient funds.

    And last but not least,

VISIT england first to make sure you want to live there in the long run.

    And I don't mean about 2 weeks,

    more like 2-6 months!

    Good Luck =)

  5. Don't come here. The credit crunch is currently very much in charge, everything is overpriced (namely fuel) and the government is useless.
