  1. what are you kidding learn to ride. I can understand if you have an old school with a jockey but if not you need to take a MSF class

  2. Are you talking about using a jockey shift and suicide clutch?  If so, with a 5 speed it's usually 1st forward, N,2,3,4,5. With an older 4 speed jockey it's 1st all the way back and upshift towards the front. If you're talking about a 4 speed jockey with an old jockey top tranny the shift pattern is the same but you're gonna need lots of practice to get it right.

  3. so its your first chopper? Most of em are first up the rest back.

  4. 1-rock the clutch forwards with your left toe, #2-reach down with your left hand & slap the jockey shift lever forward for up shifts or back for down shifts, #3-rock the clutch pedal back with your left heel. repeat as necessary.

  5. Pull the clutch, shift with foot on the same side as the shifter, and slowly let go of clutch again...

  6. i find i still squeeze the sh*t outta the left grip when it has a foot clutch and jockey shift regardless (even with nothing there).... old habits die hard, it'll just take lots of practice

  7. So you bought a chopper you don't even know how to ride lol.

  8. same as any other bike...

    squeeze clutch, shift, release clutch...
