Its my homework, I'm done with it now.. its due tomorrow T_T

I just want to know if everything is right.

Exercise I. 1 to 6 (particle stuff) I guessed most of it because i don't know how to respond when I see "kondo" I dont even know the meaning of it, i looked all over my dictionary and i didnt find the meaning, and i'm not sure if im suppose to put any particles when i see stuff like "kongetsu, ima, kotoshi, etc.." T_T would be nice if someone explained to me how particles works T_T

I really don't get IV. I have guessed all the answers T_T

Can anyone please explain to me how these words (mousuku, zehi, konogoro, yoku) works in a sentence? I know the meanings but when it comes to writing in Japanese it gets tricky, cause in English a setence would like "Nowadays something something" but i'm not sure if that is the way in japanese too.. like those words comes first or not.. so yeah.. explain how to use it right, please! T_T

If you can show examples too.

  1. 1)Meanings

kondo: This time or next time

Hima: Can be adjective or noun.Either I'm free or Leisure Time (Q1)

    Shuumatsu: Weekends (Q3)

    Mata: Again (Q4)

    Mou sugu: Soon

Kara: From or Because (Reading passage)

    (Yoku: Often or Good)

    2)Particles for timings:

Don't put anything after kotoshi etc, kongetsu etc, ima, kyou, gogo and gozen, maiban etc, itsu. (When I mention kotoshi etc im refering to last, this, next year)

So in english its this year, this month, today, now, morning and afternoon, every night, every week and when? etc.

    Put ni after specific timings

Date, Time, Day of the week, Exact month, Exact year (Q6)

If its sth like Last year's April then you have to put 'no' in place of 's.

    kyonen no shigatsu (Q2)

Use へ for ikimasu! (Your Q1,4 etc) Ni is accepted but usually we use へ.

3)Mou sugu, zehi, konogoro, yoku(as in often)

Use after watashi wa. Sometimes watashi wa is omitted.

(Watashi wa) konogoro gakkou e ikimasen.

    4) Exercise IV

Yoku is the 1st answer. (Yoku = good in this case. Yoku wakarimasen = Don't really know very well.)

Choice for 2nd answer may correct but you wrote the wrong hiragana!

2nd and 3rd answer may be tashika and tashika respectively or mou sugu and tashika respectively.

For 4th answer, kondo means this time so the answer is must.

For 5th answer it is correct! Yoku in this sentence means often.

Do you have any problems with comprehending this cloze passage? I can help.

    5)V

    Well, its 'this time'!

    (私は)誕生日に良い点が欲しいです。

(Watashi wa) tanjoubi ni yoi ten ga hoshii desu.

Ni means for (your birthday) in this case. I hope im correct for this sentence! Hehe.

    6) VII

Ah! Kodomo is child. This is kotoshi mo! So its 'this year as well'.

    7) Renshuu 2

Kondo no Nichiyoubi = this coming sunday

    8) Chapter 7

    Shibaraku = it's been a while

Then the next line: Shigoto wa ikaga desu ka? Ikaga = how (is it)?

今年は何日からですか? Since kara means ’from’ here, it means From which day this year?

十日間 means a period of 10 days. Same like 九時 = 9 o'clock and 九時間 = 9 hours.

From the passage yotei is more like plans. What are your plans etc.

    Yukkuri is slowly.

    今年 is this year. kotoshi.

Dochira e is the shortform of "Dochira e ikimasu". Putting e is sufficient because e is only use for ikimasu/ikimashita.

Nakattan is basically Nai changed to past tense Nakatta adding n for an explanatory tone.

    9) Memorising days of the week

Urgh! I'm really against using purely hiragana. Its like strings of words (kanji can separate parts of the sentence really well). And hiragana can't help memory (romanji is better), plus is not practical in real Japanese because Kanji is usually mixed in. Usually I memorise my words by writing the romanji down. (and pair it with the kanji)

For a start you may want to write in romanji and memorise. Since each day of the week means sth, you can draw too to boost your memory.

    From Monday - Sunday

    月曜日 GetsuYB - Moon

    火曜日 KaYB - Fire

    水曜日 SuiYB - Water

    木曜日 MokuYB - Wood

    金曜日 KinYB - Gold

    土曜日 DoYB - Earth

    日曜日 NichiYB - Sun

You are really hardworking. Do keep up your positive attitude! All the best! (n___n)

  2. VII #4 -

    It's "kotoshimo" not "kodomo", hah.

The question is "Why does Wada-San want to go to France again this year?", and he says because he wanted to go to a museum but he didn't have enough time and he wanted to look at the art slowly--- to take it all in.

"Kondo" is like, "This time" like in "I went to the moon and did nothing but THIS TIME blah blah blah", but it depends on the context really. "Kondo no Nichiyoubi" is "This sunday".

    Exercise II-

#3 You put "KA hoshikunai" instead of "Ga", and I don't think you should end the sentence with "ne".

#4 You put "D-san ga KAITAN desu" instead of "KAITAIN DESU".

    Exercise III-

    I love your #1, bwaha.

#5 - You put "Nan'ubi" instead of "Nanyoubi".

    (Yomu Renshuu-

#3 "Ikita" should be "Ikitai" and you forgot the tenten on "Zehi".)

I'm a little out of time, and I'm sure other people can help you out better, but I hoped I helped a little bit.

Also- double check your work when your done! Haha. You're making little mistakes like forgetting hiragana and tentens.

    Read through you work! :)
