  1. i am kinda guessing about what you mean.

its all about perspective, socialists(modern democrats) believe that an advanced economic system means that any lazy jobless person has the same right to your money as you. Ok, that was pretty extreme, but rather than pushing people to achieve in a growing job market, the Demo-socialists want any citizen to feel the safety and security of all the citizens money.

I think the need and want for money is what causes people to work and the more you make the safety net, like a substituted income for actually having a job, the less people will actually work. if there is no difference in your standard of living when you put the effort in to have a job and when you just apply for government aid, then logically it doesn't make sense to work. I am for leaving people that aren't willing to work and try to improve their lives behind.  On the other hand I think that if someone is willing to then some gov aid for college, as an example, is a good idea. this is because they are willing to work for their own desires, so they deserve a chance.

I hope I at least got the topic right

  2. It goes like this.

If the price of gas goes up then it costs more to truck goods to stores.

The stores who had to raise prices because of the increase in fuel prices now have less income and have to lay-off employees or cut wages.

The consumers then buy less and only buy the essentials.

Even the truckers who had to charge more are affected because they still purchase goods.

Once an economy starts a steep dive it is very hard to pull it out. Its about consumer confidence.  Once it gets injured people buy less and save more.

As prices go up or down it always has a ripple effect.  Another good industry that has long reaching effects is the buying and selling vehicles and another is lending istitutions.

It is always circular in effect.  If you don't like the price of milk try to see the whole picture.
