  1. Unplug the pc from the mains, remove the outer cover then check if the memory sticks are located in there slots ok, check that all the boards and connections are secure. It may be that something (normally memory) has been dislodged.

    Good luck

  2. Issue:

    • When the system is powered on, it does not complete the boot process, and the only indication that a problem has occurred is a black screen with a flashing cursor in the upper left corner of the display.

    Resolution:

Usually this occurs when USB devices other than mouse or keyboard are attached to a machine.

It is recommended to disconnect any USB devices before performing the following steps.

    1. Restart the system.

    2. Press the <F2> key to enter the System Setup. (The <F2> key must be pressed at the first logo screen.  If you do not get the system setup then restart and try pressing the <F2> key repeatedly as soon as the system begins to start.

    3. Press the <Down Arrow> key to highlight Integrated Devices (then press the <Enter> key.

    4. A small box with a list of devices appears in the middle of the screen.  Press the <Down Arrow> key to highlight USB Emulation.  (The default setting is On.)

    5. Press the Space Bar on your keyboard to change the setting to No Boot.

    6. Press the <Esc> key.

    7. Press the <Esc> key.  (A small box with list of options appears in the middle of the screen.)

    8. Ensure that Save Changes and Exit is highlighted in blue.

    9. Press the <Enter> key, and the system will restart.

If this does not resolve the issue the next thing you should check is your motherboard battery.

    That’s my $0.02 :)

  4. You should remove your RAM and whip it with clean cloth and insert again...

  5. the beeping sound is your pc telling you that something is wrong either the ram has died or become dislodged or your proccessor has died or your graphics card has died or become dislodged or motherboard has died there are websites that tell you the beep codes but i dont think these will help   R.I.P   P.C

  6. it's not easy to say like that, you have to specify more observation, if the light of DVD blink once at turning on your computer, if the fun is working, if the screen blink for a moment. According to the decribe what u did it seems your computer is dead. Just disconnect everything from mother board including disks and memory and turn your computer on to see if it's working at all, then if it does connect back on bit by bit to see what is killing it

  7. How many beeps does it make?

The bios will beep a message at you each time you turn on your pc. One beep means "everything's ok".

each mobo has different beeps of course, just to confuse things but have a look here and see if this helps:
