  1. In October?  In Port Aventura? Bring a raincoat just in case.  The weather should normally be fairly warm (in the 20's).

If you spend more time in Spain, visit Barcelona.  It's not terribly far from Port Aventura, and it is really worth while.

In Barcelona, walk along the Rambla.  Yes, be careful of your belongings, but it isn't the beggars you need to be concerned about.  Thieves can spot a careless or tired tourist a mile away - in just about any major city in the world, including New York and London!     So don't wander around with a lot of baggage that you'll have to put down on the ground.  If someone comes and asks directions,  be careful: there may be a second person waiting to come up behind you and grab the suitcase you put down on the ground while you are pointing him to the nearest information desk!  (Especially in the train stations).- They team up.

Back to what you should visit:  the Rambla, just for the feel of it.  It is the best thing to see in Barcelona.

Then the Holy Family Cathedral  (Sagrada Familia).  I am not into religious places for tourism, but that is really special.  In fact it is extraordinary.  Gazing at it from the outside may be sufficient.

If you have the time and inclination to go swimming, the beaches all along the coast there are fantastic.  Not much swimming is done in October, but if you come from a colder climate, it will be alright for you. In any case you might enjoy the beach.

Personally I enjoy the inland mountains - the barren rock, to me, is beautiful.  Others who came to visit us in Spain didn't see the beauty of it:  "There are no trees there!"  (There were a few, but to me the beauty was the rock).

In any case, enjoy your trip!!!  You needn't fear thieves, just take normal precautions, especially when you are tired.  Don't be a tempting target.

  2. Hello, barcelona is not humid at all . It´s planty of things to do and see. You can visit barrio gótico, ramblas street, plaza catalunya, Sagrada familia...

If you need more information about barcelona vist http://www.dimehoteles.com/hoteles-en-Ba...

  3. first and foremost make sure all your belonings are safe there are a lot of beggars in barcelona so be on your guard, sorry can't help with anything else.

  4. It's amazing believe me.  I've been there a lot.  I have 2 houses in Spain and believe me it's worth the trip.  Try to look up some videos or informational videos of Barcelona and you'll see how beautiful it is and how much you'll have to do.

  5. The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day.
