Hi. I just bought this knife with no package at TJ Maxx. It has a small logo and the word "Nirosta" on the blade. I believe Nirosta is the type of steel used. Can anyone recognize the logo? Thanks!!

  1. Nirosta is a type of stainless steel.  Many knife blades are made of Nirosta.  Some of the most commonly sold in department stores such as TJ Maxx are the Nirosta knives manufactured by Fackelmann. See this for an example of how any of the Fackelmann Nirosta knives could easily end up without a package, as the manufacturer packaging is quite flimsy:

Without seeing the entire knife, it would be impossible to determine what you have, exactly.

Try posting a picture or scan of your knife at KnifeForums.com

Those folks live and breathe knives, and someone will surely be able to identify it quickly and accurately for you.
