I'm moving out of my parents house and into my own home which I'm paying a mortgage by myself but I'm stressed as I don't know what household bills to pay and my finances are all messed up. If anyone could please please list all household bills possible and there average costs monthly in a UK home. This would be saving me alot of stress. Walking on your own two feet is not as glamourous as some people make it out.

  1. how did you get a mortgage? Aren't you supposed to provide evidence that you can afford to pay your mortgage? Your question is like how long is  a piece of string - depends, where is your house? what is it's value? who are your utility providers?

Don't you know how much you spend anyway?!!!!!

If your finances are so messed up, is a mortgage a good idea?

  2. I have to agree you will find it hard to start with...

On the question of bills....It will depend who your supplier is for gas and electricity and more importantly how much you use..

Bear in mind that costs in winter will be significantly higher as you will use more of both ...You could try a fixed price plan if it is within your budget..British Gas have one but I have no idea what it costs, call them and ask and then try other companies also..

Good luck in your first home..

  3. Gas £30

Phone, internet and cable TV package £28

  4. gas average £40 a month
