9+8B=10

8B=1

B=1/8

multiple first fraction by 3

next by 8

8B/24

last by 2

9/24  + 8B/24 =10/24

subtract 9/24 from each side

8b/24 = 1/24

multiply both sides by 24

192b = 24

divide both sides by 192

b = 0.125
