I'm going to spend my easter break at Rome, Venice and Florence for 2 days each and Milan for one day. Can anyone please give me some tips on travelling? The chepeast intercity transportation? Any recommended youth hostel or budget hotel? Interesting places to go? Budget for this trip? Thank you very much for your answers.

  1. I am from Rome

    I suggest to visit

The first day: The ancient Rome (Piazza del Campidoglio, Foro Romano, Colosseo, Arco di Costantino,  Musei Capitolini, Teatro Marcello, Portico d'Ottavia)

The second Day: The baroque Rome (Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, S. Ignazio, S. Pietro & the Vatican)

In the night I suggest: Trastevere, Campo de' Fiori and Gianicolo.

In 2 days you can visit all the monuments in Venice and Florence

In this period you can find hotel at about 30-40 euro

  2. Simple-take the trains to each city and when you get there just start walking!

Really, it doesn't matter where you walk in Venice, Rome or Florence-it is all magical and worth seeing-so go on foot and explore the crevices. You will stumble upon your own personal itinerary as you walk. Eat at hole in the wall local places-all food is delicious in Italy!
