  1. 8.9litres/100km for the manual model and 9.9 litres/100km for the automatic

    BUT

This is the factory quote. Quite unbelievable.

You will be more likely to achieve something along the lines of 9.2-9.4litres /100km for manual, and 10-10.4 litres/100km for the auto.

PS: Do not fall into the trap of asking how many kilometers per litre. Consumption is always given as litres per 100km.

  2. It uses 8.9 - 9.9 liters per 100 kilometers, but remember that these figures can be bettered in real life driving (or worsened) depending on the way you drive it.

  3. What trim line of Camry?  Is it a manual or automatic transmission?  V4 or 6 cylinders?

AFAIK, the only country that uses a km/l unit for fuel economy testing is Japan, and their test cycles are the most generous...

    http://toyota.jp/camry/spec/spec/index.h...

Depending on trim line, the Camry gets:

    10.6 km/l (9.4 l/100km = 24.9 US MPG = 29.9 Imperial MPG)

    or 11.0 km/l (9.1 l/100km = 25.9 US MPG = 31.1 Imperial MPG)

    or 11.4 km/l (8.8 l/100km = 26.8 US MPG = 32.2 Imperial MPG)

In Canada, the OEE rates the Camry in either l/100km or Imperial MPG.

    http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/transportation/to...

    for example:

the Camry hybrid is at 5.7 l/100km for both city and highway (17.5 km/l = 41.3 US MPG = 49.6 Imperial MPG)

    the 4cyl manual is 9.6 l/100km city (10.4 km/l = 24.5 US MPG = 29.4 Imperial MPG) and 6.4 l/100km highway (15.6 km/l = 36.8 US MPG = 44.1 Imperial MPG)

    the 4cyl automatic is 9.8 l/100km city (10.2 km/l = 24 US MPG = 28.8 Imperial MPG) and 6.5 l/100km highway (15.4 km/l = 36.2 US MPG = 43.5 Imperial MPG)

    the 6cyl automatic Camry is 10.7 l/100km city (9.35 km/l = 22.0 US MPG = 26.4 Imperial MPG) and 7.0 l/100km highway (14.3 km/l = 33.6 US MPG = 40.4 Imperial MPG)

In Australia, the Camry is yet again rated differently...

    http://www.greenvehicleguide.gov.au/GVGP...

    The 4cyl manual rates 8.9 l/100km (11.2 km/l = 26.4 US MPG = 31.7 Imperial MPG) combined.

    The 4cyl automatic rates 9.9 l/100km (10.1 km/l = 23.8 US MPG = 28.5 Imperial MPG) combined.

Amazingly, the US EPA has the most stringent fuel economy tests....

    http://www.fueleconomy.gov/f*g/bymodel/2...

    the Camry Hybrid is 34 US MPG combined (14.4 km/l = 6.9 l/100km = 40.8 Imperial MPG)

    the 4cyl manual is 25 US MPG combined (10.6 km/l = 9.4 l/100km = 30 Imperial MPG)

    the 4cyl automatic is 24 US MPG combined (10.2 km/l = 9.8 l/100km = 28.8 Imperial MPG)

    the 6cyl automatic is 23 US MPG combined (9.8 km/l = 10.2 l/100km = 27.6 Imperial MPG)

actual owners of the 2007 4cyl/6cyl Camry report an average of 24.5 US MPG in real-world driving.

However, your actual fuel economy will depend on a number of factors, mainly how and where you drive, and how well maintained the vehicle is, so you may get higher or lower actual fuel economy.  remember that an Imperial (British) gallon is larger than a US gallon.

  4. 8.9 liters/100km

  5. 8.9 L / 100km

  6. 8.9litres/100km for the manual model and 9.9 litres/100km for the automatic.
