Can anyone please tell me what an a-drive is?

  1. The drive directory A/ is the standard drive letter used by PCs to identify a floppy disk drive. Of course, it could be re-assigned to identify other drives on computers that have no floppies, in which case it could be any kind of drive (CD, Flash, Zip, etc)


  2. Usually is a floppy disk drive ~ a lot of newer computers do not have floppy drives as floppy disks only stored 1.44mb of data (unless a zip. drive ~ they held a lot more data, but they too are not widely used anymore)

  3. changes from pc to pc but usually it is the floppy drive

  4. Usually the A drive is mapped to your floppy disk drive.
