I started charting my BBT just this month while on Clomid 100mg, I am finding it difficult to chart due to this frequent rushing to bathrooms at wee hours :-(

Though i did'nt set the exact timings to chart, but i chart between 5.30 and 6.30 am. I ovulated this month and i m officially in 2WW now. Today is my 10dpo and i took the temp at 4.30am(becoz of this stupid bathroom, i had to chart it before) and it was 98.11.

I immediately came back and slept and took the temp at 7.30 am which is 98.52, and again slept and woke up at 9 am at which the temp was 98.70...

I am cofused as wht value to put in as a data in FertilityFriend.com....

Pls advice me ladies,,,

Here is my link to FF.com http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1ed9b6

Appreciate for the clear answer, thank u all and baby dust

  1. Your chart looks fine. The white circles (instead of blue bobs) show up if you put in any data that suggests to the FF.com computer that the numbers might be a little off. In your case, it's because you've put in a different time of day which could affect the temperature accuracy. The high temps today are normal. I would put in the 7:30 data but then scroll down to the comments box and write all the other data and times, so you can look back on the date and remember what happens. Normally each hour of time changes will change the temps by 0.2 degrees. So your 7:30 temp was a little later than normal, but also commensurately higher, which is to be expected.

In any case, your charts is great and you've got a clear, text-book ovulation pattern. Best of luck for the next 5 days :)

  2. I had the same questions when I first started charting, and I asked a lot of questions to the "experts" on fertilityfriend, they were very helpful.  What I have learned is that your first temp. is most reliable because you need 3 hours of consecutive sleep without disturbance.  But having said that, your temps look really good even if you recorded 98.11.  The open circles are an indication that the temperature was taken at a different time or could potentially not be exact.  But because it's the most accurate after 3 hours, you should use that one.  Remember, one temp won't make a big difference in the entire cycle, but like i said, your post ov. temps still look very good.  But I know how hard it is to record a temp you think is not representing what it COULD be if you woke at your normal time.  And did you know that more frequent urination is a common sign of early pregnancy????  That may be a good sign!!  Good luck~~baby dust~~

  3. I would use the temp when you first woke up. Even though it was earlier in the morning that you normally temp, I would use that one.

I do paper charting, so I'm not exactly sure about the empty circles on your chart. But I think it might be if you took those temps at different times than your other temps as well. I think that ff gives an empty circle when it doesn't match the same times as your other times you've entered.

But not to get your hopes up or anything, but I think your dpo temps look very good!!! Let us know what happens!

  4. I would use whichever temp where I slept the longest in between bathroom visits.  I know you want your chart to look good (I'm a member of fertilityfriend also and have been guility of that too) but the truth is, you will do better if you actually put in the temp that is closest to 3 hours of sleep or more at one time.  That would be closer to your true resting temp that is required for your BBT.  Good luck and even if one temp is lower, don't fret, just see where it takes you.  Remember, the TTC journey is supposed to be fun and worrying will only cause undue stress and actually make it to where you do not conceive.  Good luck!
