Can anyone plz tell me how to find the valence factor (n-factor) of borax and the equation of borax and H2SO4?

  1. The "valance factor"?  Never heard of it.  Sometimes n is used to denote an unknown hydration number of a hydrate, as in

    Na2B4O7·nH2O

    Borax is the decahydrate and written as Na2B4O7·10H2O

    Borate ion combines with water in the presence of hydrogen ions to make the weak acid, boric acid.

    B4O7^2- + 5 H2O + 2H+ --> 4 H3BO3

    The reaction for sodium borate and sulfuric acid would look like this:

    Na2B4O7(aq) + H2SO4(aq) + 5 H2O(l) --> 4 H3BO3(aq) + Na2SO4(aq)
