I know, I know, her name's hard to live up to. I've read Ranma and InuYasha (only part of both) and due to difficulties with being able to read/watch them, I'm looking for something new. I want some kind of Romantic, slightly actiony, funny manga, and I've tried Urusei yatsura, but, omg, it is BORING.

  1. I would try to read and watch the rest of Ranma 1/2 and Inu Yasha, but in the meantime, I recommend Yu Yu Hakusho, which has lots of action, and youkai (demons) just like in Inu Yasha. Its not too romantic, but two of the characters like eachother, and do get close often. I also recommend Bleach, which may be low on romance, but has action, like in Inu Yasha. Case Closed is another one I recommend, not much action, but there is humor, as well as lots of mystery. A bit of romance is also thrown into the mix, plus, Case Closed was published in the same manga magazine as both Ranma 1/2 and Inu Yasha in Japan.

All these have anime versions as well that are available on DVD. And also, I agree with you, Urusei Yatsura is boring.

  2. you may like maison ikkuko (sp) its by Takahashi and cute!

you may like Yuu Watase, she's written such things as Fushigi Yugi, Absolute Boyfriend, Imadoki, Ceres Celestial Legend, and Genbu Kaiden

Marmalade boy is good, death note (while not a romantic one it's great!) and I've recently gotten into prince of tennis

Fruits Basket is by far the best manga out there though

Vampire Knight is good too and Skip Beat
