  1. Hope you got a big wallet and ready for the resposiblity

everybody wants to ride it and the worst of all they don't care

i would suggest a big machine for stability and more practical use and find out were ever going to ride it is there a agent near by to help understand what the machines capabilties are and can teach you the safe way in jetskiing. and if it brakes down they can repair or make a plan for you

    happy jetting

  2. Hi, jetskiing can be great fun but pretty expensive too, if you're looking for a family ski I'd say a 4 stroke 3 seater Kawasaki maybe, it doesn't have to be brand new as some dealers can rip you off if they know you're a newbie. Steer clear of Ebay too, we bought a Yamaha Waverunner from there, ran great when the guy started it off the water but got it on the water and nothing!! You defo need to get a test drive on water! We have a seadoo RXP but these are way too aggressive and fast for family skis but Seadoo do some great family skis. Do a bit of research yourself and shop around there are some genuine people out there believe it or not or are happy to help. Also it might be worth taking an RYA course as they are pretty dangerous machines if you don't know how to use them properly. Goodluck and I hope you have loads of fun!!I've listed some useful websites that'll have some info about ski's for you below too.

  3. there all good  just get a big one that seat 4  or 5 if your going to take your mother inlaw with you

  4. I have just have limited knowledge of jet ski-ing..Hoping not too sound materialistic, if you can afford to buy jets, then why not treat the family to a kinda like water world holiday...Over here in Northern Ireland we have lots of water sports (Im a lifeguard teacher)...Look up "Craigavon and Fermanagh on the net..We are a tiny country but you can't beat the "Craich".

  5. Hi

Having owned a few of these now and most of the brands available i have found the best all rounder is the Yamaha 1200 four stroke .

These have proved to be reliable and easy to keep just stick to the recommendations in the manual and you will have no problems .

I cannot recommend any of the two stroke models of any brand having had bad experiences with most of them .

One tip i will give you that has worked well for us give all the engine and electrics a good spray with WD 40 before and after use and this helps keep water and prevents rust also

    Hope this helps .

  6. First off, are you ready to put the time and money invested for learning all the things you must know to safely go boating/jet skiing?  You got to pay to play...

Outboard 2/4 stroke motors in Personal Watercraft tend to be fairly easy to maintain if you treat them well.  However, you need to be willing to either fork up maintenance costs for them or do the work yourself.  Not to mention the potentially dreadful expensive repair bill that might occur over time.

As for brand types, here is the following order I'd put them in from first (best) to last (worst).

    Kawasaki

    Seadoo

    Honda

    Yamaha

    Polaris

    Tigershark (avoid at all costs)

Just in case you are new to operating a boat or PWC, two operation rules of using ANY boat or personal watercraft that must be followed 100%

First, NEVER EVER run a boat out of the water without a water hose hookup to feed it water.  The water hose provides the water to cool the motor.

NEVER use cheap outboard motor oil in your motor.  Always use what the jet ski's owner manual recommends.  If it is new or requires a special type of oil, use that and only that.

Quicksilver is a good quality 2 cycle outboard oil, however if it is a 4 stroke outboard or a newer model jet ski (1998 or later model), you need to use ONLY the brand made for your jet ski (Have a Polaris, use only Polaris brand oil)
