Can anyone reccommend places to stay/visit in Pembrokeshire?

Question

My girlfriend and I are after a short break and figured that Pembrokeshire seems like a nice place to visit. Problem is that we don't know the area at all and there are so many options on all the websites that we are just left confused!

We heard that there is good surf around the area and that it is a nice place to go walking and climbing. We would like to stay as cheaply as possible, maybe bringing our own tent and camping on a site. However a nice b&b would also be an option if we could find one for under say, £50 a night.

Can anyone advise us on somewhere that would fit our needs please? We are thinking of going in the next week or two, for a length of a few days up to perhaps a week.

Tenby is lovely but I wouldn't think that it is very cheap for B&B's. There are some lovely sites around Tenby and also St.Davids.If you want somewhere quieter then go for Sr. Davids.

If you want to camp and have entertainment then go to Kiln Park in Tenby but it is a Haven and there will be lots of kids and teens there but it also has lots to do.

I've been to Kiln Park at Tenby twice on newspaper breaks, and wasn't very keen either time. It's too late now, but another time try a newspaper break, as they are good value for money.

My favourite caravan park is at Kidwelly, near Carmarthen, and not far from Pembrokeshire. If you want B&B, try either the outskirts of Tenby, or I stayed at nearby Saundersfoot once. There are also Travelodges around. There are a lot of camps along that bit of coastline.

The coastline is really picturesque, and a train trip along it is worthwhile. Would also recommend visits to Carew and Pembroke castles.

stopping in hostels is a conveniant and cheap way to do it, maybe worth a look...

Just don't visit Kiln Park (Haven caravan site) as I had a dreadfull time there. See tripadvisor.

Tenby is lovely though
